Board & Committees

Overview

Skyline Ranch does not have a homeowners association. The Skyline Improvement and Service District was formed in 1989, the first meeting was Oct. 12, 1989. The primary purpose of forming the Improvement and Service District was to take care of the roads serving the residents of Skyline Ranch. Secondary purpose of the formation of the District were operation and maintenance of the central water system. The Skyline Improvement and Service District has the powers and authority provided in Wyoming State Statutes (WS 18-12-101).

The District obtained a loan and grant from the State of Wyoming and the roads were paved in the summer of 1990. Because of some confusion with another Skyline Improvement and Service District in Natrona County, the District is referred to as the “Skyline Ranch Improvement and Service District”.

The Skyline Ranch water system was transferred from Skyline Utility Company, a privately held utility company, to the Skyline Ranch ISD on December 16, 1993. The duties, authority and obligations of the Skyline Ranch Site Committee were transferred to and accepted by the Board of Directors of the Skyline Ranch ISD on November 12, 2014.

Through the Skyline Ranch ISD, Skyline Ranch is a healthy, self regulated community, as was the intent of the original developers, it is however still subject to Teton County and State of Wyoming rules, regulations, and statutes.
