Roads

The Roads in Skyline Ranch are owned and maintained by the Skyline Ranch ISD for the benefit of the owners and their guests. While the roads are not public in the sense of a County Road or State Highway they are considered public because they are available for use by the general public and because the Skyline Ranch ISD receive a state grant to pave the roads in 1990.

The road easement is 60 feet wide with the paved surface of the road  and the public utilities within that easement. Structures, berms, retaining walls etc should not be placed within the road easement because permanent structures would hinder road maintenance, snow storage and drainage. Landscaping including trees and sprinkler systems placed within the road easement may be damage by road and utility maintenance.

The pave surface of the road is only 20-22 feet wide. No vehicles should be parked on the paved surface so that we can maintain a 20 feet wide travel surface for residents and emergency vehicles at all times. Due to snow plowing activities during the winter no vehicles should be parked within the road easement.

Property owners planning construction activities that require heavy construction equipment and trucks are required to post a $5000 damage deposit with the Skyline Ranch ISD prior to the start of construction.
